Dana is a world-class martial artist who won gold in Taekwondo at the 1988 Summer Olympics (Women’s Lightweight Division). Her career since then has spanned film, television, sports commentary, motivational speaking, and more.
Dana is best known to horror and sci-fi fans for her unforgettable work as the creature performer for Sil in the 1995 film Species. Sil, an alien-human hybrid, was originally designed by Swiss surrealist artist H. R. Giger, whose visionary work also shaped the Alien franchise. Giger’s concept art and 3D design gave Sil her eerie, biomechanical form — but it was Dana Hee who gave that form life on screen.
Her physicality and precision as a performer helped bring Giger’s vision to life and made Sil one of sci-fi horror’s most memorable creatures.
Dana also made her mark in the world of action films through her work in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Dana played Mileena a villainess from the 1997 film Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, as well as Siann, an assassin in four episodes from 1998-1999 for the TV series “Mortal Kombat: Conquest” Dana also worked on the original Mortal Kombat as a stunt performer but is uncredited for her work.
Hee has also performed stunts for dozens of films and TV series since 1993, including Batman Forever, Charlie’s Angels, Gangs of New York, Independence Day, Lethal Weapon 4, Spider-Man 2, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and The Avengers, and was a double for Cameron Diaz, Daryl Hannah, Geena Davis, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Garner, Nicole Kidman, Rene Russo, Sandra Bullock and Uma Thurman, among others.
Don’t miss your chance to meet this multifaceted talent whose career has spanned Olympic glory, horror history, and Hollywood action.
